The state of California is situated on the west coast of the United States and boasts the third largest coastline in the country. The US News & World Report, in 2011, has ranked many of the medical institutes based on the school’s current Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accreditation length, student-to-faculty ratio, percentage of faculty with doctoral degrees, and the most recent 5-year average Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) pass rates. Stanford University School of Medicine : This University holds a ranking of 54 and is situated in the city of Palo Alto. It also has one of the best scores of 3 out of 5. This university is out of the few that offers the Physician Assistant programs at all four Degree levels: the Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, and Certificate courses. University of Southern California and Western University of Health Sciences : Both these universities are equally exceptional and hold the same rank of 70 and a score of 2.8/5 for offering the Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant programs in California. Loma Linda University : This University is located in Loma Linda. It has achieved the third best ranking of 94 along with a score of 2.6/5. Touro University California : This University is ranked at 116 and has scored 2.2 out of 5. It is situated on the beautiful Mare Island in the San Pablo Bay in the city of Vallejo. The only way to enjoy the historic location and a 44-acre campus space is if you plan to take the graduate Master’s Degree in one of the Physician Assistant programs offered at the University. With over nine campuses spread across California, this location offers the Physician Assistant programs and ranks at 121 with a score of 2.1/5. University of California Davis : Although the rank and score for this University is not known, we do know that it offers the Physician Assistant Certificate programs as well as the graduate Master’s Degree programs.
